Verified Contractor Agreement

1. Independent Contractor Relationship

You ("Contractor," "Verified Member") are an independent contractor, not an employee, agent, partner, or joint venturer of KillerRocks LLC ("Company"). Nothing in this Agreement creates an employment relationship. You are solely responsible for your own taxes, insurance, equipment, and compliance with applicable laws.

2. Scope of Services - Gemologists

Verified Gemologists agree to:

• Provide good-faith, photo-based specimen assessments using professional knowledge
• Clearly state limitations of photo-based identification in all certificates
• Complete accepted requests within the stated turnaround time for the service tier
• Never guarantee results or issue certificates for items not actually reviewed
• Disclose any conflicts of interest (e.g., personal interest in purchasing the specimen)
• Maintain accurate and honest assessments - willful misrepresentation is grounds for immediate termination and potential legal action

3. Scope of Services - Master Artisans

Verified Master Artisans agree to:

• Accurately represent all items listed in the Collector Exclusive Gallery
• Fulfill orders promptly and as described
• Maintain the professional standards expected of a verified seller
• Not misrepresent provenance, materials, or craftsmanship

3a. Scope of Services - Verified Meteorologists

Verified Meteorologists agree to:

• Provide good-faith, photo-based meteorite classification using recognized meteoritical conventions (chondrite/achondrite/iron/stony-iron groupings and known subgroups) to the extent determinable without laboratory analysis
• Clearly state the limitations of photo-based classification, including that a "Pseudometeorite" or "Unclassified / Insufficient evidence" finding may be the only responsible conclusion for a given submission
• Complete accepted requests within the stated turnaround time for the service tier
• Never guarantee terrestrial vs. extraterrestrial origin without a reasonable basis, and never issue a certificate for a specimen not actually reviewed
• Disclose any conflict of interest (e.g., personal interest in acquiring the specimen)
• Maintain accurate and honest assessments — willful misrepresentation is grounds for immediate termination and potential legal action

3b. Scope of Services - Master Knappers

Verified Master Knappers agree to:

• Accurately represent all items listed in the Collector Exclusive Gallery, including material (obsidian, flint, chert, etc.), knapping technique, and whether a piece is a genuine antique artifact, a modern reproduction, or a decorative/practice piece
• Never misrepresent a modern reproduction as an authentic historical artifact
• Fulfill orders promptly and as described
• Maintain the professional standards expected of a verified seller

4. Compensation & Fees

Identification Services (Gemologists & Meteorologists): You receive 80% of each identification/classification fee collected for requests you complete. KillerRocks retains 20% as a platform fee. Compensation accrues as your Forum Gold balance is credited upon certificate completion; there is no separate payout schedule beyond the standard Forum Gold cashout process described in the Forum Gold Terms.

Sales Commissions (Master Artisans & Master Knappers): Sellers in the Collector Exclusive Gallery are subject to the standard platform fee disclosed at checkout on store sales (currently 8%), deducted from the sale proceeds before crediting your account.

All compensation is gross; you are responsible for reporting and paying all applicable taxes on earnings.

5. Liability Limitation & Indemnification

Contractor's Liability Cap: KillerRocks's liability to any Contractor is limited to fees actually earned in the preceding 30 days for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Contractor Indemnification: You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless KillerRocks LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees), arising from:

• Your identification assessments, certificates, or representations
• Any claim by a third party that your services caused financial harm
• Your breach of this Agreement or applicable law
• Your willful misconduct or gross negligence

6. No Professional Liability Transfer

KillerRocks does not carry errors and omissions (E&O) insurance on behalf of Contractors. Contractors who provide professional gemological assessments are strongly encouraged to carry their own professional liability insurance. KillerRocks is not responsible for claims arising from inaccurate identifications.

7. Confidentiality

You agree to keep confidential any non-public information about requesters, Platform operations, and user data encountered in your role. This obligation survives termination of this Agreement.

8. Intellectual Property

Identification certificates issued through the Platform are issued under the KillerRocks brand. You grant KillerRocks a non-exclusive license to display, distribute, and archive certificates you issue through the Platform.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement with 7 days' notice. KillerRocks may immediately revoke verified status for breach of this Agreement, misconduct, fraudulent activity, or conduct detrimental to the Platform or its users. Upon termination, all pending obligations (including completion of accepted requests) remain in effect.

10. Dispute Resolution

Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration per the Terms of Service. Contractors waive the right to participate in class actions against KillerRocks.

11. Entire Agreement

This Agreement, together with the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between the Contractor and KillerRocks regarding verified status. No oral representations supersede this written Agreement.
