Death penalty feels too harsh in late game zones

I get that dying should have consequences but losing 8% of your KRC in the Crystal Caverns or Deep Vein Cave feels brutal when you've spent an hour grinding. Is this intended? I have the Death Insurance upgrade (3%) but even that hurts when you're sitting on 500k KRC. Not asking to remove the penalty just... maybe a diminishing scale based on zone difficulty?

The Death Insurance upgrade is almost mandatory for late game zones. Without it you're leaving a ton of KRC on the table.

Fair point on the scale though. 3% of 500k is 15k KRC which is like two Gold crates worth of value.

I actually like the stakes. It makes the Crystal Caverns feel genuinely dangerous instead of just a loot piñata.

The penalty is harsh but it also makes the safe zone feel meaningful. You always have somewhere to recover.
