How does the Museum work exactly?

Built the Museum but I'm not entirely sure what it does mechanically. The description says 'showcase your rarest finds and earn passive income.' Is there a multiplier that shows somewhere? How does rarity affect the income? Trying to decide how much to invest in it vs the Lab.

Think of it as an investment that pays off in the back half of your run. Don't neglect it completely but don't rush it either.

The Museum gives passive gold income based on the quality of your displayed collection. Higher rarity = more income per cycle.

It's a long game investment. Early on the numbers look small. By the time you're showing epic-tier finds it becomes meaningful.
