Help IDing this black heavy specimen from New Mexico

Found this at gem show in Tucson. It is heavy for its size, black to dark gray, slightly metallic luster. Strong magnetic pull. I am thinking magnetite but the specific gravity seems high. Any ideas? Happy to provide more details or try a streak test.
