Help IDing this black heavy specimen from Michigan

Found this at a rock shop closing sale. It is heavy for its size, black to dark gray, slightly metallic luster. Strong magnetic pull. I am thinking magnetite but the specific gravity seems high. Any ideas? Happy to provide more details or try a streak test.
